The difference between a “Creator PC” and “Pure Performance PC” is pretty drastic. For gaming, it’s usually smart to prioritize fitting the best CPU and GPU combo for the highest frame rate. For creators, we’ll want to spend our money a little differently:

-
32GB of RAM is highly recommended as a minimum. Creators utilize RAM more than gamers do with video editing, streaming software, lots of browser tabs, and more.
-
SSD speed is more important compared to gaming, especially for video editing. Games can only load so fast, but for video editors and other creative work, you’ll feel every ounce of the increased read/write speed.
-
ATX Motherboards are more valuable to a creator because they can utilize the additional slots and ports to install multiple NVMe SSDs, PCIe capture cards, and the plethora of USB devices required for live-streaming.
-
More cores and threads are important to both creators and gamers, but the applications that creators run can often utilize them more than just gaming.
-
Nvidia GPUs typically don’t provide the “FPS per Dollar” kind of value that AMD GPUs have, but Nvidia includes many features that Creators can utilize, as well as the better encoder for live streamers.

By spending the extra money on the features above, this will result in less money towards the CPU and GPU performance. A Creator PC cannot compete with a Pure Performance PC in gaming because the priorities are different.
